Who do you guys reckon would win this fight?
On the British forum they are backing Frampton and on the General forum they are backing Santa Cruz.

Personally I reckon Santa Cruz steam rolls him.

That view is common among yanks etc. But I wouldnt be too quick to adopt it if I were you.
It fails to take account of a number of facts though, Prowler.

    1. LSC has been feasting on a diet of washed-up, blown-up flyweights.
    2. LSC is not a killer puncher. Yeah - he has been winning every round of a fight but his opposition has not been a real threat to him and he has been taken the full distance by these guys several times, guys I would be confident would never hear the final bell against Frampton.
    3. He has never beaten a top-level young career 122-pounder in his prime.
    4. Frampton is much bigger and hits much harder than anyone LSC has faced.
    5. Frampton is a big strong young fresh hard hitting superbantam in his prime.

    etc etc etc....
Indeed LSC poses a big threat to Carl. But Carl poses a big threat to him too!!
Not for a moment saying Carl wins for certain but I would make him a slight favourite.

There will be no "Steamrolling" here Prowler!

Most Aussie fans have no idea about boxing.

You made some good points in you're earlier posts. Frampton may have been in with some tougher opponents but I just think Santa Cruz is physically stronger and tougher than Frampton and will just be to much for him to handle.

Sorry about butchering your national nickname Prowler (Ozzie!! What was I thinking).

Yeah, its a pity boxing isnt a bit stronger down under alright. I guess thats the price you pay for living in a proper modern civilised Democracy - there are easier ways to make a living than getting punched in the head.

Hopefully the Frampton-LSC fight does happen soon. One to watch, eh?!

So I take it no other Aussies no **** about these two fighters. They would rather discuss bums fighting for Aussie pride.

    Giday mate
I see Frampton getting a debatable decision if the fight is held in Belfast
Santa Cruz close points decision in the States
A bloomin close fight either way

Santa Cruz starts favourite for mine. If Barry can get the fight done for Belfast I think frampton has a good shot. On a golden boy card in the states Cruz wins on points.

Santa Cruz reminds me a lot of Nathan Cleverly pre Kovalev

Tall rangy, keeps his hands high and walks forward in straight lines, taught to have a good chin and his main attribute is his workrate and average power i think his superior to Cleverly but im always very wary of any fighter where his main strength is his work rate.

Its easy to throw 100 plus punches a round when your in with overmatched opponents. But Frampton is a heavy handed figher who can counter, id like to see how high his work rate will become when he finds himself getting hit hard when he lets his hands go
