Looked worse for wear after being announced the winner against Paddy Gallagher in the Prizefighter tournament. Paramedics put him on a stretcher and rushed him to hospital.

Was strange watching his behavior as there was something not right.

    Get well.

Can't help but think prize fighter makes fighters vulnerable to punishment like that.

Depends on his body fat level at light middle - 7lbs loss for someone with 10-12% body fat won't affect them too much would it?

Would argue him being in a fight a few weeks earlier would have had more to do with it than the drop in weight

I think so, I'm hypocritical. It is exciting to watch but I think the way in which they encourage knockouts is dangerous. But thats just my opinion.

    I think the same

The lads just go for broke flat out for 3 minutes. Its almost in human its not like a 10-12 rounder where they the fighters can box and move. Prize fighters almost doesn't have enough rounds the cards are that tight after 3 the fighter know they needs big KOs and punches

i didnt see the prizefighter match, but ochiengs fight with perkins was very suspect. erick looked like he had no coordination whatsoever and not as sharp at 154.....grant it, perkins strategy had a lot to do with it and might have caused trouble to him anyway, but erick looked really bad just going on his own physical ability.

secondly, erick is lean muscle, i wonder how much he had to reduce his calorie count just to cut 7 pounds.

too small for 154 and cannot successfully make 147? where does he go from here?

I feel that it is deffo the weight drop, erick is a junior middle, even if he is small. Making 147 is too taxing on his body. Even as an am he was fighting at 69kg, not 66.7kg
