Taylor was winning on points but just how much he was "dominating" is exaggerated. He was outworking Chavez but slowly taking a beating. I remember that smug Ferdie Pacheco saying that "Whitaker is fighting just like Meldrick Tayor". Another example of how The Fight Doctor was a horrendous commentator. They didn't fight Chavez alike at all other than having quick hands. Whitaker outboxed Chavez by using great movement and all kinds of angles. Taylor was outworking Chavez. While he did show skills, it was nothing like the display Whitaker put on. It was less of a boxing masterclass and more of an insane display of handspeed and workrate. Chavez had already landed some good shots in the 2nd that re-opened a cut inside Taylor's mouth. By the 9th, Taylor's face was already looking bad, despite being ahead on points. Chavez sped up the inevitable decline in Taylor, although Taylor had more success and didn't decline as immediately and drastically after Chavez as revisionist history (HBO Legendary Myths) would have you believe. There was nothing controversial at all about the Lockridge fight. Chavez clearly won that fight, boxing largely on the back foot. LaPorte had a MUCH stronger argument at beating, or drawing, with Chavez than Rocky.

:deal Jmm trying to be like Finito. It always looked like Finitos trunks never fit him, like wearing diapers sometimes. But man, what a ****ing legend to watch holy****. His kos were as fun to watch as Tyson's or Rjj.
Chavez ain't got nothing on Sanchez, Lopez , or even Morales. A faded Morales beat prime Pacman and a shell of El Terrible almost beat prime Maidana, Garcia, and was about to take on Matthysse! How you like them apples? Biggest balls of any fighter period. And don't even get me started with Sanchez or Lopez. We all know the best Mexican champs come from mexico city too. Its always been like that. Sanchez and Lopez actually knew how to box not like some face first ******s.
