I assume for the most part those who dwell around the training forum are boxers themselves correct?

Describe your style. What I aim to do is learn something from you all and maybe we can help each other train for the style we're comfortable with.

I myself fight sort of like a prime David Tua (Only deference is I can actually box and have a respectable amount of ring intelligence, sort of like Sonny Liston & Larry Holmes)

Bit of a forward moving brawler. I make up for my lack of technical finesse by being aggressive and having good conditioning. Decent handspeed too. I like to go to the body early and tire him out. And my money punch is my overhand right followed by body shots.

  3. So you are a more intelligent version of prime David Tua?

Yeah, sure. We all are on the internet :yep

You know, I seen all the different types. They all fit a certain category...The 'bully'...the 'slickster'...the 'power puncher'...the 'man possessed by ungovernable rage'...the 'technician'...And any of those types could be a good fighter....and any of those types could be an incompetent sh*t head.

Which type was I? Me, I was just a regular-type dude. With a bigass dick. *sips coffee*

I'm a bit like Speechless described. My coach said it will be difficult for me to become a boxer/stick-and-move type fighter, so I should focus on becoming a pressure fighter. I always come forward, sometimes eat a few more jabs than I should. High stamina, strong for my weight category (light welterweight), combination punching with a lot of straight shots.

People have said I remind them of Joe Frazier a little.

I'm in the process of training vigorously, I hope to go to the Olympics in a few years. Missed the 2014 Alabama Golden Gloves, was dragging my ass :patsch
