Good luck to Ricky I think he's reached his level his last 3 fights have proved that and well done to Billy for getting Burns to win the titles and hold on for so long.

There have been rumours of Ricky looking for a change for quite a while on here, and lets be fair he has been extremely poor for the last 3 fights.

There are some good trainers out there who can teach Burns something different but whoever it is I wonder if we might have already seen the best of Burns.

 

I think we have seen the best of him for sure, not very often u see a guy like Burns at his age and stage of his career mix up his style that much, we saw what happen to poor ricky when he left Billy Graham and tried to "box"

By this stage of the game Ricky should know what works for him, maybe he just wants to freshen it up with going to Sims rather than change much stylistically

 

he has hardly won a round in 3 fights!...as well as the Burns/Nelson team did ,im not surprised Burns needs a fresh start

 

Crawford fight was a joke, it was like Chelsea playing Doncaster, different class

 

Thats a **** comparison, crawford might have outboxed him completely but a dont think it looked like he was gettn banged out a there in every round did it? so hardly a joke

 

Thats well funny jock boy....he was well out classed and Crawford could have done him if he had stepped it up..

I think a lot of people are overlooking this, it should be the end of it. So stop spinning your own stories please and read this before going off on your own tangent

 

This split is no reflection on either Ricky Burns or Billy Nelson. They have had an excellent run together and now one party feels that it is time to try a change. These things happen and it could easily be that even by going to a lesser trainer Ricky will benefit simply from a bit of fresh air, a change can be more beneficial than the mechanics of it suggest.
It is nice to hear that the split was on good terms.
