this comment by Rios shows how overrated punching harder is then. Pacman outclassed Rios and Alvarado lost to him.
Maybe Mike hit Rios harder than Pac did, people always speak of this devastating Pac power but it's just not devastating, it's just good power with overwhelming speed... Other than Hatton 5 years ago I can't Remember scoring a one punch fight ending Ko...he hit Oscar and Margarito with practically everything he threw yet didn't KD either, sane with Rios a career lightweight... In four fights he could never KO Jmm, he hit Cotto with everything yet he still lasted 11rds before the fight was halted, bottom line Pac is more likely to drop opponents with flash knock downs because of his speed and angles, but devastating knockout artist he is not... So I can believe when Rios says Alvarado hits harder...
Who cares? Alvarado struggled twice with Rios and Pacquaio won every round. Plus Rios does have that ****** strength, so punching power is moot; You can't hurt a mongoloid.
yea if rios fought with his hands down like he did in the alvardo fight he might of tasted more of the shots
Pacquiao can land powerfull shots without putting himself in a vunerable position Alvarado puts himself in a vunerable position landing them powerful shots (excluding his right hand)
