    He beat actual competition - Zarate being better than any of Calzaghes wins

    Calzaghe did not legitimately beat a 43 year old geezer and his best win is B level Kessler.

    But neither Clazaghe or Gomez are too special.

    The level of competition wasn't close between the two with Gomez having fought a different class then Joe. Its hard to put much stock in his win over Eubank as Chris was at the end of the road when the fought and Jones was long finished. Hopkins would be the standout win for him but then it was close and Joe was down once. The undefeated record counts for him of course but this corner sides with Gomez.
