I still want to see it. It doesn't matter if Tim has an L on his record. He still possibly beats Mayweather with his heart, chin, speed, skills, intelligence, and work rate. Every boxer Bradley has faced he's defeated with his heart and outworking them. I'd love for this to happen.
Similar to Pacquiao, won't happen with Bradley being promoted by Arum. Something drastic and public would need to happen. i.e A formal press conference and acknowledgement that the "feud is over" (Arum and Mayweather hugging and pictures being taken) while saying fans should expect great fights in the future between Top Rank and GBP. No, I never see that happening. Too many egos involved and they could give a **** about what any of us think as boxing fans. They are all making millions regardless.
Mayweather by a pretty wide decision. It could be pretty ugly at times, Bradley would probably do better defensively than most of Floyd's opponents, but I'd say he wins 4 rounds at the most.
Well immediately we have to know that Tim is working with approximately 5" reach disadvantage and 1 1/2 to 2" of height. Bradley's strength is his activity behind a good jab. Can get inside and loop in some shots to the head and body. Against Mayweather, I'm not sure this plays to his benefit. Especially given his lack of significant power to back Floyd off in the event Tim connects. Nobody would claim he hits as hard as some of the guys Floyd has fought recently. What real asset does Tim posses that gives him advantage on Mayweather? i.e - Is there a fight you can see taking place where Tim would be able to impose his will? I personally do not see it. It would be very similar to the Marquez fight on the outside. Bradley would have trouble reaching Mayweather, who would control distance utilizing his superior footwork and ring IQ, to create lead and counter opportunities when Bradley over-extends. Mayweather's jab is also superior to Bradley, and an outside match would benefit the longer and taller Mayweather. On the inside, Mayweather has grown into a strong and cagey fighter. Very sharp and accurate with his punches and has been inside with much larger men then Bradley. There is no way to believe that Bradley would "walk Mayweather down." If anything, we could expect the opposite. And similar to Marquez, even if Bradley were to catch Floyd with a good shot, I see nothing but a smile and nod coming back. People who claim Floyd does not have a good chin should not be taken seriously. I see a lot of looping shots bouncing off of Floyd's shoulders, as Tim gets caught with crisp counters. That's what I see if Floyd were to fight Bradley. There is really nothing in this match up that would make me favor Bradley. Mayweather is an ATG for a reason, and Bradley, while a talented and excellent fighter himself, is no ATG.
Bradley by UD. When's the last time mayweather fought a slick black fighter. Hell he even showed solid power in this fight.
By beating Bradley at his own game he also has Bradley beat in all departments. Not to mention the PBF has a huge reach advantage over Bradley when he comes in with wide telegraphed shots best believe he would be countered to hell and back.
I doubt Mayweather would cough up more than the opening round and one or two late. Bradley doesn't have anything going for him in the skill comparison department and seemingly no stylistic benefits either other than being certain to see the final bell without having been rocked too greatly.
Bradley can move on to be more in the mix. There are so many welters out there now - Thurman, Alexander, Paulie, Berto - for Bradley to get in with. I feel Bradley has all the things mentioned to hang with Floyd, but I think Floyd breaks him down, similarly to how Pac took Bradley out of his game plan. Floyd does not fight Bradley because Bradley is not popular enough to generate PPV. A lot of respect for Bradley as a really good fighter, lots of heart. Always comes in shape and ready to fight.
Berto can't even get passed JSK, Bradley already made Devon cry, Pauline :rofl, and Keith would be nice but could end up being proven to be only a hype job.
