Funny thing is Lomachenko has a better resume than Russel Jr at 1-1

Jose Ramirez - WBO International Featherweight Champion - TKO 4
Orlando Salido - Former 4 time world champion - SD12 loss. Salido lost his belt on the scales and fought dirty all night to scrape a win

has russel even picked up a regional title yet? the guys hes been fighting are the type you fight at the start of your career

In slickness, yeah, but as soon as he's caught, ONCE, countered, it's lights out and you know it.

    Loma KO2.:deal

How do prospects get away with fighting 5 times in 4 years? Then try to pull rank on someone else....

Even if Loma lost this fight, I love the way him and his handlers are matching him.

Loma didnt knock Salido once and that guy goes down against every top fighter he faces.

I think you're over emphasising Lomas power.

Seems like they're forcing GRJ's hand.

I wonder what Russell's excuse will be?

Lomachenko rocked Salido late in the fight after having been fouled for 10 rds.

Who knows why Loma allowed Salido to foul him inside for so long before he opened up and started throwing punches.

But we can rest assured that GRJ will not be looking to fight dirty in the trenches and he won't outweigh Loma by 30 lbs either.

GRJ will bounce around for a round and half, sticking Loma with his feathefist jab and Loma will catch him with a CR hand over the top as GRJ forgets to maintain distance on his way out......Wham bam thank you maam......light out.

    Loma KO2 GRJ:yep:yep:yep

The fact is he didnt drop Salido.

Weng Haya dropped Salido twice for crting out loud.

Garcia had him down about 5 times.

Gamboa dropped him a couple of times, Juanma had him down.

Long story short, maybe Loma just doesnt hit too hard.

How about putting it in context? Salido was never hurt against Garcia and Gamboa, and finished both fights on even footing. Salido was seriously hurt against Heya and very close to being finished. Salido was seriously hurt against Lomachenko to the body and head and barely finished the fight.
Garcia would've been bigger than Salido on fight night, Gamboa was 142 and Salido was 142 on fight night when they fought. Lomachenko was 136 and Salido was 147, and still hurt Salido more than Garcia or Gamboa did. So many people make the mistake of equating knockdowns to being hurt.

There's a reason why GRJ hasn't even fought a contender yet...

GR Jr. drops the bomb on this amateur, knocks him out and takes him to 1-2.

Loma's next fight after losing is a GRJ rematch.

Good, he shouldn't get a free-pass to the title.
