BHOP is way ahead of Jones.

BHOP has never been close to being knocked the fuk out and has fought the better competition.

BHOP's wins over Trinidad, Pavlik, Tarver, and Pascal are better than anything on Jones resume.

Evander Holyfield is a blown up CW moved to HW.
Sugar Ray Leonard was a blown up WW moved to MW.
Sugar Ray Robinson was a blown up LW moved to MW.

    What's your point?

Not sure how anyone can say that. Jones resume is essentially Hopkins, Toney and 10 years after that Tarver.

Hopkins has been in and won way more big fight than Roy even attempted. Hopkins has the far superior resume. Not even close.

Close. I'd give it to Roy but Hopkins's career isn't over. Were he to beat Kovalev or Stevenson in the future I may give it to him.

Roy is the only fighter I have seen who I honestly thought was unbeatable in his prime.

I know its crazy , but there was mention of him fighting Lennox after beating Ruiz.

Could you say that about Bernard?

This will always be highly debatable .

Overrall Roy has accomplished more .

B Hop has beaten better fighters .

Both fighters have a win over one another .

Its just tough to decide .

    Hes fought sporadically.

Nothing like the number of times he fought in his prime.

Also no one holds Alis, Berbick. Holmes losses against him!

RJJ was an animal and probably the best athlete to ever set foot in the ring. However, you can't ignore his losses. He was smashed in brutal fashion by Tarver, Johnson, Lebedev and flat out embarrassed by Green. Albeit past his prime, he still was owned by those guys.

Personally, I have only watched Hopkins get outclassed twice and that was by RJJ and Dawson. Yes, Calzaghe beat him clearly in my opinion, but the fight was close and ugly. Hopkins finds ways to neutralize opponents and he does well against everyone. And his resume is stacked.

Hopkins is still fighting at nearly 50, not to mention at an elite level. For that, I think he surpasses RJJ.
