Just been announced today that Paul Butler will face Stuey Hall on 7th June in Newcastle for Hall's IBF World Title.

Was seemingly an obvious fight to be made. Made up for Butler and obv made up for Arnie too.

    Who you guys got????

Yeah he does mate. Top lad (many on here can vouch for that too, having been welcomed into his gym at any time to watch him and his lads)
Never met anyone as obsessed with the sport as he is either :yep. Literally goes home and spends hrs studying coaching techniques online. One of my best mates and their women go away each year to Vegas too and all him and my mate do is trawl gyms watching fighters, watching coaches studying all the time.

Anyway who you got Billy? I had the pleasure of watching these two spar around 18 months ago, was a great little tear up. Butler has progressed through the ranks as quick and as well as any British fighter I can remember recently too. Superb fighter

Butler has Tel. Butler won the IBF Intercontinental Bantamweight title in his last fight, so he has a top 15 ranking with the IBF.

Is Hall actually going to fight a world class fighter ever?

Yes. He's fought McDonnell! Got to feel sorry for Hall that he's missed out on the payday a rematch with Jamie would have brought.

Why didn't he accept Eddie's offer?

Surely he'd earn more against McDonnell at Wembley on a Box Office card than he would against Butler at Newcastle on Boxnation?

Has this fight officially been announced? As I've only seen a few bits and pieces about it on Twitter. Wasn't Hall's last fight against Ward a voluntary?...And hasn't Randy Caballero just won a final eliminator in Japan to become mandatory?....If it is official I would be surprised if Frank has announced before even getting it sanctioned by the IBF

I'd imagine Hall's promoter (Hobson) wants nothing to do with Hearn or McDonnell considering the way he guided McDonnell to a world title only for him to win it, have Hearn whisper in his ear and drop Hobson straight away.

Was funny when McDonnell got stripped without even having a fight. Bet Hobson was laughing his **** off

How much are they putting into the back pockets of the guys at the IBF to allow them to continue with these joke defences? This belt is becoming a complete ****ing joke.

Agreed. This is a world strap not the english title.

McDonnell's the champ anyway so these 'defences' are meaningless.

He has to fight on Boxnation. I feel sorry for Lee Haskins who really should be challenging for this belt given his recent record.
