The kid he fought took a dive... Time for Felix to step it up.

Yeah, need to start stepping Verdejo's opponent's up to a new level and see how handles that for a minute. Then repeat process of incremental ascension, leaving your boxer at bum level for too long is not a good thing.

Right, I've been saying the same thing, he has a date on the miguel cotto undercard hopefully they give him a decent opponent.

The kid is only 20 with 12 fights.

Let him marinate a little bit.

Felix's career so far has been more of an advertising campaign. He has learned a few valuable lessons but he really needs to fight better opposition and take a few shots to learn a few lessons.

Nah, dude was trying to style on Verdejo with the Mexican peasant-shoulder roll and got knocked the fck out!

PR always has those killer punchers.

When your fighter has complete disregard for any offense coming from your opponent it's time to step them up. He cannot be allowed to get comfortable in a mind frame that says he has nothing to worry about an opponent's offense, that can lead to a bad habit of him over relying on his offense or under relying on his defense.

i have high hopes for this Kid. but there's no need to rush him. let him settle for a while longer, then the higher class of opponents will come.

    all in good time.
