Let him fight Brook and then Thurman and Mayweather at the end of next year. A Porter/Thurman fight should happen before either one faces Mayweather. I don't know enough about Brook to make him relevant.

If Porter gets offered the fight in the fall, he's not going to turn it down. Mayweather needs an opponent for September. Assuming he gets past Maidana, Porter is looking like the best viable option.

You are probably right. I just would like to see Thurman and Porter get more seasoning before they get put into the ring with Mayweather. Besides, if Mayweather fights and beats either one, the other one will remain as a boogeyman to the haters if they don't fight first.

Critics will always criticise. Mayweather and Porter are both champions at WW. They're both highly ranked at WW. It would be an insteresting clash of styles that has the opportunity to result in an entertaining fight. Objectively speaking, there's not much more you could ask for.

Porter has got to be one of my new favorite fighters. He's a good guy as well as a good fighter. Thing that I like about him the most is his aggressiveness (he reminds you of a young Pac), the fact he don't care to get rough in there, and he doesn't get discouraged when he misses a punch on you.... Most fighters are reluctant to throw when they miss or miss/ get countered. This guy misses one, misses two, and he still beleives hes going to catch you with the 3rd!
I wish he had another fight or two to get a little more seasoned before Mayweather.. Like if Pac isn't Mayweather's last fight, Porter would be perfect at that time. If Floyd slows down any against this guy, he gets beat. Dude doesn't care who you are, he is aiming to punch your head off.

I'm not sure that victories over Paulie and Alexander qualify you to get into the ring with Mayweather. But it is what it is and I would certainly pay for a Mayweather/Porter fight.

Why not? He's a world champion now and one of the top ranked fighters in the division. Who's more deserving at WW right now other than Pacquiao?

So is Thurman. Do you thnk Thurman is ready to face Mayweather? With all these belts nowadays, they don't mean much to me. True there is not a lot out there for Mayweather at this time at 147 but I don't think Porter or Thurman are seasoned enough to make a good fight with Mayweather at this point in time.

Are Thurman and Porter ready? I don't understand the question. Mayweather is the biggest draw and the highest rated fighter in the sport. He's currently the best win a fighter could get in the sport. He's also 37 years old and is nearing retirement. Thurman and Porter are both in their mid 20's and have over 20 fights. If they're not seasoned enough now, they may not be by the time Mayweather retires. You have to strike while the iron is hot. If you say Porter is not deserving, you have to give me some names that are more deserving. Because Mayweather has to fight someobody. Do you want him to fight guys that are leass deserving than Porter? That doesn't make sense to me.

But Porter can't be an official Mayweather scared and ducking guy, he's not a Bob Arum fighter??? All Floyd killers work for Top Rank, right?

You are right, at 147 Porter and Thurman are probably the best opponents that Mayweather can face.

Apart from Thurman and Porter who else is there at 147 that hasnt already lost or deserves it

If these 2 fought the winner would definitely deserve a Floyd fight
