How exactly are you going to sell a fight between Mayweather and Bradley right now? Let's not even get into all the promotional and network issues.
Larry Holmes was Muhammad Ali's sparring partner. Why is being a sparring partner supposed to be some type of negative? You do realize guys who are talented spar with champions as they move up the ranks don't you? If Porter was sparring with Pacquiao early in his career, that means "he is good." Unless you believe Manny invites scrubs to his gym to work out with? Comments like this, confirm once again, that you don't know jack **** and are here just to troll. There are thousands of other instances where you have made a complete jackass out of yourself. You literally have no technical reason to base your opinion, only your idiotic and misconceived perceptions. Which is why you respond in such a childish manner, with no substance in your posts.
Yes. He's a good fighter without a legit title and no high profile wins. You want the best WW to fight Floyd? Well the top rated ones outside of Floyd are Pacquiao, Bradley, Marquez, and then Porter. Good luck making a Mayweather fight with Pacquiao, Bradley or Marquez.
Porter would need to do more things to become great enough that his in ring accomplishment makes up for his lack of drawing power.
Every boxer was someones sparring partner at one point when they were young prospects. People act as if sparring partner is a bad thing when everyone has been one at one time for a bigger name fighter.
What do you mean by much better? The only fight from this list that makes sense is Porter v Thurman. Peterson and Lucas aren't even WWs. If Mayweather beats Maidana, the fights that make the most sense and $$$ are at WW. They couldn't sell Mayweather v Garcia just yet, but Porter v Thurman for a Title Unification against Mayweather is what you do. I'm not sure these young fighters will be advised to fight each other just yet, but who else is Mayweather going to fight in a bout of any substance? A beltless, stanky legged, china chinned Khan on PPV would be insignificant. If that is to be the WW Titles, including The Ring, outta be molten into jewelry.
If Porter is such a beast why is it no one was talking about him beating Floyd after the Devon Alexander fight? Where was the hype then hunh?
