Showtime is backed by CBS, which has a ton of money. Showtime will be fine. They only fighters going on PPV are ones whose earning potential exceeds the liscensing budget of a regular Showtime event.

    On point.

These PBF haters really need to start getting that through their thick heads.

Did Mayweather force Arum to disparage the MGM and state that the MGM would have to "kiss his ass" in order to get him to stage another fight there?

wear and tear would eat up Pac because those fighters would always be willing to engage him while PBF's potshooting will not always work in getting the win ... most of those guys he'll meet in the ring will always go for the kill and they are relentless hard punchers

They'd still be excellent fighters, just not to the extent they are celebrated today.

They also started off considerably smaller, I don't hold it against them that they would lose to ATGs like Leonard & Hearns who also are bigger.

The real standouts of the era would be excellent fighters in just about any era. The talent pool below that, however, is where I think there's a real drop.

Floyd just followed the blueprint DLH laid. That's all he's no genius like some of these guys will tell you.

I passed on Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Marquez, Ortiz and Guerrero.

I ordered Oscar, Hatton, Mosley, Cotto, Alvarez.

I have no regrets other than I wished he stopped more opponents because it's boring to watch a plain shutout.

The simple fact of the matter is that they wouldn't move up in weight. Too small to compete at WW in those years.

How did he follow Oscar's blueprint, and why has no one else done so?

I think Camacho would give Mayweather a lot of problems with his outrageous speed. He was skilled too and had decent pop at 130 and 135.

Ultimately, I think Floyd wins a close decision. Camacho had a tendency to go into a shell and look to survive when he was hit. Mayweather has no Rosario in power but I think he has enough pop and would hit Camacho enough times to make him too defensive and thinking about survival.

    I don't like Pacquiao's chances against Duran.
