Would have thought after Porters last performance and the hype that has generated stateside he would be looking to headline himself? Maybe its a co-feature?
No chance will Porter-Brook headline. This makes sense to put the fight on the Canelo undercard because GBP will be making this a PPV in America and they do good undercards. If this is true I wonder if Sky will get greedy and see the £ signs with Hearn putting on a card over here in the evening and double it up with the other show and make it a PPV? Hopefully they don't because it will be a **** take, so soon after Froch-Groves 2 PPV.
"No chance will Porter-Brook headline. This makes sense to put the fight on the Canelo undercard because GBP will be making this a PPV in America and they do good undercards" Fair point. Can't see it been PPV over here though, they would need a huge fight in the UK and I dont think Hearn has the fighters available at the time to make it happen. "thought BN got the GB USA cards?" I thought they had them all unless a matchroom fighter is on the card? Or some deal like such
Fast Car would negotiate for Matchroom to get the tv rights in the UK-ergo Sky would televise. No way BN gets this event.
its a tricky one, when boxnation had their deal with golden boy amir khan fights were still show on sky and primetime because he had a separate deal. with this being a golden boy card, boxnation could argue that they have a deal to showcase golden boy shows so the fights on their channel. matchroom and eddie especially will not want kells fight to be on boxnation, he will argue that kell being a matchroom fighter is exclusive to sky. if things get messy could well end up sky just showing the brook vs porter fight and boxnation showing the whole card including canelo vs lara.
there must of been cards so far from goldenboy that involved a matchroom fighter and sky have showed it and BN not?
There is the possibility that it doesnt go on the Lara undercard. Hearn wont be letting BN show Porter v Brook
Yeah Boxnation do get the GBP cards, but if a Matchroom fighter is on it then Sky will show it because I remember the Devon Alexander-Kell Brook card were Purdy came in as a late replacement was on Sky.
Ye Purdy Alexander & Rees Broner you are right... did they have the goldenboy deal then though? No way does hearn let any of his fighters go on BN without a purse bid.. and no way does he let his goldenboy Kell Brook
