On a nice little run since getting stopped by Frampton is La Sensacion and he looked better and hungrier than ever in that fight til getting KOd too, definately in his prime, a fight between him and Quigg would be a great little scrap

Yeah, though I only gave Kiko the round with the KD, 10-8, before he stopped Hozumi, many of those were close and fraught with danger for the Japanese boxer as he seemed to just edge the Spaniard on cleanliness of work.

Kiko was in full-on wrecking ball mode.

If he would grow a good beard like Ormond could become unstoppable. :think

Hasegawa trading off the ropes in the second was mental, learned his lesson pretty quickly and painfully though. he was doing the right thing when getting off his combos and moving his feet, but Kikos constant pressure was visibly getting to him, in the penultimate round his face was starting to look a mess and his body language was looking very tired, we saw this with Romero, Mathebula and Frampton too, it's just so hard to keep the guy off you

Yup hes going good but its so comical that a year before Frampton fought Martinez the majority of people were not giving Frampton a chance and then after it was "Martinez is past his peak"

Frampton should be commended for his footwork, despite Dwyer knocking it on youtube, Framptons win looks more and more credibale as Martinez rolls on

I think Quigg will catch Martinez late on in Watsonesque fashion a bit like frampton did or get caught himself, Quiggs power is underated

Only the elite SBW will beat Kiko in this form, he has gotten better then when he was beaten by Monroe ect no question of that, to beat the current Kiko Martinez i'd say only Frampton, LSC, Rigo, Quigg and Avalos can beat him, And only the first 3 would be clear favorite over him, Quigg vs Kiko is a 50/50 but a slight edge to Scott because it would likely be in the UK, Kiko beats Avalos most likely or is at least the favorite.

I thought he looked gd against Frampton he was just fighting a better more skilled fighter...

Would be interesting to see how Quigg stands up to his relentless pressure style, Quigg does have nice bodyshots which could slow Kiko down however he does have questions over his chin, and a questionable chin ain't gd against a pressure fighter...

Overall I think it would be a cracking forwards and backwards fight... But I think all Frampton fans would feel slightly robbed if Quigg fights and beats Kiko to claim the IBF strap..... Mixed feelings on it really

When Martinez was 5 years younger. Goes against history that a small man can be better at 28 than he was 4 or 5 years previously. Could he really be a better boxer now? Or are the opponents not as good? The loss to Frampton suggests he is no better but a fight with Quigg now would be a great one. As said,it would probably be around 50 50 now.
