I think it would be a stretch to call him the best of his generation. Much depends on what you term 'his generation.'

The early part of his generation saw RJJ as the greatest. During the middle part of Floyd's generation, Pac was greater.

I think we can safely say that during the twilight of his generation, Floyd is the greatest.

You could put him in the top three of his generation for greatness.

 

At 147 and above their resumes are comparable. But below 135 Pacquiao's resume shits on Mayweathers.

 

Just because Mayweather schooled JMM doesn't mean he will school Pacquiao. Tim Bradley schooled JMM and Pacquiao beat Bradley twice. He out slugged him and outboxed him.

 

:good it took JMM 4 fights to figure out Pac , would Floyd figure out Pac if their first fight happens.
