what is the most clinching fight you have seen?

I'd like to add Akinwande's pathetic attempts vs Lewis.:-(

From the opening bell, every time Lewis got into range, he grab him. I mean he was trying to grab Lewis from like 6 ft away.:-(

My gosh.....I gotta review that it was so aweful.:-(

OK.....so I fixed my post.

Went back to watch Bruno vs Lewis......wow, did Lewis have a rough night at the office. Bruno beat him with the jab, the R hand, won the war on the inside, but as typical, gassed out about the 5th or 6th and Lewis finally caught him.

Way to hang in there for Lewis....this was one of his best comeback wins. Almost as good as his Lionheart performance vs Vitali Klitschko.:thumbsup

Lennox Lewis v henry akinwande, one of the worst fights I've ever had the misfortune of seeing.

 

If you dont have Wlad in top 3 grabbers you are clearly Klittard, 16 clinches in first round vs shot cruiser weight Mormeck, vs Povetkin more cliches than punches...

 

If you can get ahold of some meth or crack or coke or ritalin or adderal, go and rewatch the Potvetkin vs Wlad fight.

more than 1/2 of the clinching was due to Potvetkin ducking under the jab or 1-2 and Wlad moving forward.:think

But yeah. Wlad holds more than Ward.

So many ATGs were also atg huggers. Sadly, Ruiz will not be recognized as an ATG due to his fighting on after Golota.

Had he retired then, with wins over Steve Pannel, Jimmy Thunder, Tony Tucker, Ballard, Cawley, Williams, 2 wins over Holyfield, Kirk Johnson's cherry, Rahman, Oquendo, and Golota.

That's an ATG resume, but sadly he fought on and had forgettable losses to Jones Jr, Tua, Holyfield(robbed), Haye, Valuev, Chagaev and a robbery loss to a roided to the gill Toney.:good

Ruiz was the worst. Stunk out EVERY FIGHT he was ever in at heavyweight with his holding. Absolutely dreadful to watch. Even now, years later, the thought of his excessive grabbing fills me with rage. No one ever made me want to smash a TV so bad.

 

Khan vs Peterson...insane clinching and repeated pushing as a bonus...

 

Havent seen it for many years but recall Akinwande/Lewis to be with alot of holding and then I think Lewis won on DQ due to it, but would have to check that out after so many years, as I could be wrong

Wlad vs povetking was the wrost by far
