Always enjoyed watching him dangerous banger, brave when under pressure could take punishment and turn fights on their head.
To think He had a career threatening injury. Which must have affected His mechanics and balance, knowing it could have gone at anytime, a warrior. Plus as people say, a nice guy.
That Cat was warrior hearted. Should have gotten much bigger shows and media exposure, as he deserved it. But glad to know he's still appreciated. It would have been great to see him fight live.
That he was not 'totally solid', is what made him so exciting. Every fight he fought had potential to be great fun to watch.
saw him last night at a show near us, an 11 year old from our gym had his photo taken with him and carls 2 belts.he was friendly with the kid and gave him a few pointers. I don't think the kid realises he knocked david haye out !!!!
Very good, massively underrated fighter who whilst never the greatest always gave value for money. Met him in the meat isle of Asda a few years ago, a very nice down to earth bloke.
Always loved carl. Very good thai boxer before he turned pro. Also won three grand on him beating haye!!. Top man!
