Odd choice of opponent given Will had heaps of trouble with a cagey guy in Klassen.

The kid he fought isn't to bad I thought.. won't go anywhere because of his rubbish offense and lack of power but has obvious ability and schooling. Very decorated amateur I think I remember reading.

Got me thinking maybe Gboy hedged their bets on this one..I guess matching guys from your own stable is what most promoters do though.

Tomlinson will hopefully get a couple of espn level fights with his remaining goldenboy contract. I think he will well received in those kinds of fights.

Dib would beat him, even if he is damaged goods now.

Wow Jerry Belmonte's (the bum who beat Tomlinson) has landed a WBC title shot against Omar Figueroa. Wild WIll must be kicking himself, all he had to do was beat a bum ranked 156th in the world and it could have been him fighting for the title. What a shame :-(

Good luck to Jerry Belmonte's :good

I've been saying it for a long time Will is so overrated.
His management at BHS dine a good job picking his fights and sucking the public in he was managed well there.
he was always going to get exposed as soon as he stepped up and his getting exposed by average fighters .he should have never went to the USA but I think he thought he was a bit better than what he really is

Expected a better result but Belmontes is Hardly a bum - he is a solid opponent who was a top amateur and the scene reports that he actually beat Figueroa 5 times in the amateurs (every time they fought). It will be interesting to see Wills next move though.

Good move by GBP because it is a great test for Will and if he losses they know they are wasting their time and they won't waste money and more time on him.

Hard to believe Will is going to be fighting in Mexico after receiving death threats while training their.

Spot on. :good Record padding will always bring a fighter undone sooner or later. His next opponent is a joke,

U kno what his opp is prob not a joke his prob about where Will should be.if Will was fighting in the Usa or Mexico he would have a similar record than his opponent. More losses than wins. Will is so overrated and Golden Boy no that now that why his fighting the guy he is.if they seen any ability they would of got him a good fight in the usa .

You could be right, but it looks like somebody is doing whatever they can to get Tomlinson a win.

The guy has a crap record has been KO'd multiple times and is moving up 2 weight divisions to fight Will.
