People who go to Mayweather fights are not boxing fans, they are event junkies and corporate types, the fight will be at least almost sold out because when people are in Vegas and tickets are still not sold they will go just to say they went to a Mayweather fight, fact is Floyd could fight the bouncer in the arena and morons would still buy because they like to show off about being to big events regardless of the sport. Why do you think a ton of celebs show up to his fights most of them aren't boxing fans just want to be seen at the fight, for the undercard half the arena is empty because people are at the bar ect.

 

If Maidana wins more than 2-3 rounds, I will be stunned.

Honestly, that would be a great moral victory for Marcos.

He's too slow, too flat footed and throws his punches way too widely. He's one of the very few fighters who holds a belt that's truly tailor-made for Mayweather to beat on. It's going to be Gatti-Floyd II.

We know the outcomes in all of them except in Khan vs. Collazo but I am leaning towards a Collazon UD win.

 

Every fight he can possibly take in his division is a "complete mismatch."

Mayweather has done huge gates and PPV's ever since 2007 vs. Oscar. If 870K PPV buys was the lowest of the bunch, against Robert Guerrero, then I'd say that is highly successful. I would expect the Maidana fight to do closer to 870K than some of his other big totals, I will say that.

 

For anyone selling an event, that's kind of the point.

I doubt the NFL gives a dayum that 75% of its Super Bowl audience are 'event junkies'.
