It's poor. He definitely shouldn't be anywhere near a title shot.

According to independentworldboxingrankings . com rankings he's only fought 2 top 50 opponents in 31 fights, surely he should have at least 5 decent top 50 opponents before he gets a shot, even if they aren't elite or top 20 he should have to do more than he has to earn the right to fight for a title.

    Wanheng Menayothin?

    34-0, KO 11

He barely has faced any opponents who even have gaudy and inflated records, let alone anyone ranked or of note.

Somehow he's Ring Magazine #2 at Strawweight.

Wilders resume is a complete joke.... Take the Scott "win" away and it's complete trash. Not a single top 50 fighter on there and maybe only 2 or 3 in the top 100.

even the scott win isnt any good. considering scott already stepped up twice before wilder fight and failed to get the win over glazkov and chisora.

For anyone that's at least 31 fights into their pro career, YES he does.

Can you believe boxrec actually has him rated above Tony Thompson? What the hell is up with that?

True, but the little guys fight their asses off for peanuts.

Yeah it's pathetic.... Since losing to Wlad again TT has gone 3-1 stopping David Price twice and a complete schooling of Solis, now he's facing Takam next..... Wilder being ranked over Thompson is disgusting.

Agreed. In my opinion Thompson would box Wilders ears off. Possibly stop him.

And the "victory" over Scott... Very weird

Tony tiger only got like 3 points for beating Solis since it was a "split decision".
Wilder 38 for The Scott fiasco. "KO1" counts for more even when fighting lower ranked opponents.

Computer ranking have flaws by design too.
