I think Carl might be putting too much into trying to control himself mentally. You can see the physical signs of the stress it is causing in his sweaty pits, keeps wiping his hands and grimmacing.
He is definitely coming off better in these interviews though.
His pyschiatrist has obviously told him not to react and that he is the one who has already achieved lots in his career so he should be comfortable with that and not feel threatened by Groves but he still clearly is.

 

what everyone should be asking is ' what in the actual fvck is Groves wearing???'
