The Margarito that stopped Cotto would have definitely put Floyd in the corner. Then its down to how well Floyd can handle that extra 20lbs of punching pressure. Margarito was taller, bigger, probably hit harder, iron chin and much better stamina than Maidana.

 

While this is totally true, I honestly think Cotto was very lucky to have the 2nd fight stopped. He was being broken down without plaster. Of course you could say that Cotto has lost lots of resilience since the 1st fight and that's probably true as well.

It's kinda odd that out of all the people Floyd didn't fight, people are most obsessed about him not fighting a known cheater. Threads like these prove to me that people don't care if Mayweather's opponents are clean or not as long as he loses. People secretly wished he fought Magarito just so that Margorito could do long term damage with his hand wraps like he did to Cotto. Out of all the CLEAN fighters Floyd could have fought, yall ignore those guys and rather devote all your energy towards analyzing a fight between him and a cheater. Where the hell are people's ethics? Ethics go out the window whenever Floyd is discussed here. Hell, people in general who dislike Mayweather have this thuggish "by any means necessary" nonchalant attitude about peds, epo's, illegal hand wraps, cheating, etc in the sport.
