Khan won, but it was hardly a cakewalk. Khan had to survive multiple times. Maidana has gotten better since then also.

Against Alexander, Maidana didn't pressure Alexander enough. Maidana's aggressiveness to smother and overwhelm Broner and Floyd from the jump was not utilized vs Alexander. Maidana has also learned how to cut down the ring and bob and weave his way to get inside.

It is a question of styles. Pacquiao would win 10-2 over Maidana or possibly TKO him. He eats a pressure fighter like this alive and Mayweather has trouble with them. But this does not mean that Floyd's boxing and counter punching isn't still a perfect foil for Pacquiao.
