    without doubt

who would of thought 2-3 years ago that Maidana knew how to jab, move his upper body or use his forearms to block punches

Maidana has improved immensely since those days of Ortiz/Cayo seeming death machine, or the Khan/Corley still badass but obviously vulnerable and limited slugger, to the Devon Alexander beatdown defeat where he seemed to be destined to be a gatekeeper at WW by the way most career trajectories work, then to the hook up with Garcia as trainer and scoring stoppages in great, great battles over both Soto Karass and Josesito by which he has even gotten noticeably better since Soto Karass... Those fights made him seem a worthy opponent and showed more than just a live pulse. Broner gave him a great feather in his cap. Losing to Mayweather valiantly, he looks almost as good as ever; back to back best performances in the big picture for Maidana... Growth...

It's kind of funny that the guy who beat him most convincly was Devon Alexander who everyone says has no heart.

His loss against Kotelnik was basically a draw. Khan outboxed him but Maidana almost pulled a KO from that fight (and might of if not for the ref). Now he has a nice MD loss against the top P4P fighter.

Would like to see rematch of Devon and Maidana.

    This,

I doubt he has got any better , watch the Lopez fight.

He just fought two consecutive guys that are a little overated and dont do well under pressure.

You mean to tell me that fighters can still be in meaningful, entertaining fights when they have an "L" on their record?

Maidana's jab was the key to the fight. He was able to neutralize Floyd's overhand rights for a good portion of the fight. He had a good game plan, of mixing up the bobbing and weaving with the jab and upper body movement.

Alexander put a boxing lesson on him but Floyd wasn't able to do it. Thats strange.
