Did he fight scared or smart? I think he had orders from Hunter to follow a specific game plan which involved a ton of boxing on the outside and very little "fighting." He's aware of his weaknesses. What's wrong with that? The name of the game is winning and looking good.

Good for Khan that he finally looked good in a fight again. He should gun for a belt at WW now if he can't get a Mayweather fight. Still a long way back to the top for him, imo.

I see where you're coming from and as a Khan fan myself I'm glad he won but I didn't see too much difference defensively from when he was under Roach, he was more cautious and clever attacking though but if he's put under a lot of pressure by a top fighter I don't think he has the movement and brain to be able to handle it for 12 rounds, he practically invites pressure on himself. I think if he'd of fought Maidana last night he wouldn't of been able to handle it. I think I was expecting too much.

That was a shitty performance by Collazo, one thing is clear though, he had no respect whatsoever for Khan's power even after the knockdowns. I have no idea why a non puncher would think he can knock anybody out with one or two shots. I have literally never seen Collazo fight so haphazardly.

Pretty certain I saw him taking a black briefcase behind the MGM Grand

Khan does have some power at ww collazo rarely ever on the floor or hurt the hatton knockdown was a balance knockdown.

If you can take anything from this fight surely it's that khan has decent power at ww.

he gave up because he knew he couldn't win and proceeded to look for one big shot the rest of the fight.
one thing that improved was he wasn't pulling away much with his chin left out to dry straight back

This could have been a much easier night for Khan if he went for the body earlier...while Collazo had his hands high also. There were some great opportunities for khan to roll off the ropes to his left whilst throwing a left hook to the body...shouldn't have missed them really but I guess he was too busy concentrating on not getting caught out if Collazo decided to cut the ring off better. Khan will have been used to getting hit whilst on the ropes in such a situation against Angulo so his response is understandable.

Callazo would have looked for the Right Hook counter early so, no, the left hook to the body was not a good punch early on in the fight whilst callazo still had snap in his punches

Could be. People need to keep in mind how Khan performed in his recent fights, his long break from the ring and the facts that it was his 1st fight at the weight and he's still attempting to make changes with a new trainer.

Khan beat Collazo like no ever did, If Mayweather stops him it will look good, real good :think

I think Khan is no longer an easy option for Floyd, but he has 3 fights left:

    #47 Maidana 2
    #48 Porter IBF
#49 Pacman WBO possibly safer than Khan now :huh

    :good

    I wholly agree.....Good post.

And the clinching....it was a bit excessive....but much of it was instigated by the bumsrush.

Khan looked very good last night, and Paulie was very VOCAL in his butthurt last night.

I almost wish Porter didnt KHTFO, so him and Khan could have another go.:lol::lol:

Collazo was terrible, whole periods of wandering around with his hands down, letting Khan score at will. It felt like he didn't want to be in there, especially when he can box and he can frustrate. Something wasn't right there at all. :think

He beat a one armed fighter last night. Collazo hurt his hand. No way that was the Collazo who exposed Hatton and beat Shane...

Amir was a disgrace with his huggin and dirty tactics. IT was like watching a b level fighter desperately trying to do ANYTHING to appear as if he is A level. Desperate and dirty.

But the tapes of Khan being raped by Danny and Prescott will never go away. History knows Amir ;)

Hype to be cracked in 6 months.
