I don't understand the logic of "Maidana wasn't landing". First off, he landed nearly the identical number of punches. Second, that starts to become obsolete when you are out working your opponent so much. That is why the fight was close, work rate.

Yes I scored a draw, same as one of the judges, but for you not to rate someones scorecard and then not post yours for how many hours later :patsch. Yeah that tells it all

Look at how BlizzyBlizz gets himself owned now.
He writes that the judge that scored a draw got it wrong and that round 11 was a CLEAR round for Floyd, yet the judge who scored a draw gave 11 to Floyd, when one of the judges who scored for Mayweather gave round 11 to Maidana, yet he is saying how the judge who scored a draw got it wrong and the others got it right :patsch
All this from a poster who couldnt put up a scorecard until hours later

Whoever turned in that 114-114 needs to explain themselves and their scoring criteria.

The only rounds Maidana won were 1, 5, and 8.

    That's it.

Unless you count missed punches and don't score flush shots more than blows blocked on the shoulder.

The fight was dirty at times, Floyd used an elbow to push Maidana. You have to look at it both ways.

The 114-114 was the only competent scoring from the three judges. The two others are suspect. How on earth can you have Floyd up 6-2 going into the 9th round?
Close to impossible to defend that kind of scoring, I'm afraid.

Round 11 for Maidana is crazy; as is any of 9-12. 3 and 4 also were Mayweather rounds. Pushing him around and bouncing off the shoulders, back, and groin do not count as landed punches. Those are blocked blows or illegal shots.

If anything, that is both taking away from Maidana in the scoring criteria of "clean, effective aggression" as well as adding to Mayweather in the scoring criteria of "defense."

People just don't know what to score.

They get to excited with what they want to see, for personal or entertainment reasons.

How can you give Maidana any of rounds 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, or 12? Those are all clear Mayweather rounds. That's enough for a draw.

And if you somehow managed to give Maidana all of the first 5, then you really have vision problems or haven't ever learned how to score a fight proper.
