Floyd definitely won those rounds with Round 4 being the closest of them. I think people became enamored with the fact that when FLoyd decided to stupidly fight off the ropes for long periods of time in the first half of the fight, that Marcos was able to land very clean bodywork, but he didn't land too much upstairs effectively aside from overhand shots hitting FLoyd on the back of his head.

Round 4 was very close and I could see why people gave it to Marcos since FLoyd was a bit bothered by blood going into his eye from the headbutt early in that round and didn't have too high of a punch output.

Competitive first 6 rounds, but I don't know how anyone would give rounds 2, 3 or 6 to Marcos. Round 4 was very close as well.

Nah Floyd didnt win a round until 6. And I was most certainly watching in HD. Maidana was the one punching in combination, and exercising the ring generalship the first few rounds.

7-5/6-6/5-7 all reasonable scorecards. If the exact same fight happened, but instead of Floyd it was some unknown- there is not anyone who would give Floyd the early rounds. But since it is Floyd, lots of people tend to rationalize things in his favor. Its just the way it is.

People are giving round2 to Mayweather based on one shot? Maidana cornered him and tagged him countless of times to the head and body.

bought the ppv. Had friends over. Pacquiao and Floyd ppvs are always ordered and we watch them.

had it 4-2 after 6, tied up going into the 9th, then Floyd pushed it to 7-5.
8-4 on second viewing. Gave Maidana a close round and Floyd a close round. 7-5 from last night probably cuz I gave maidan those close rounds instead of the split I scored.

anyhoo, good and competitive fight. Entertaining stuff

Re-watch the fight Mayweather clearly won 2 and 3 and 4 was a swing round which I gave to Maidana.

Seemed like those two of those scorecards favoured mayweather in nearly all of the close rounds.

Exactly, there were several close rounds and floyd got them all on the cards for being floyd. The fight was exciting because it was a rough Maidana style fight. Floyds supposed great ring generalship was nowhere to be seen for the majority of the early rounds. Otherwise it would have looked like the Canelo fight, thats floyds pace. A slow deliberate pace, this was nowhere near that.

You can't beat Floyd by decision.... He has the judges, ref, NSAC in his pocket. Only way to win is by knockout.

To those of you saying Floyd won those rounds, go and have at the websites that featured online live RBR scoring.

Around 90% of the ones i found scored those earlier rounds for Maidana. I dont believe Maidana won, i think Mayweather won the fight by 1-2 rounds in the end. However, he did NOT win those earlier rounds. That is a straight robbery. This is what is wrong with boxing not the fighters.
