I think mayweather could have won the fight any way he wished.

he was just trying to make a more exciting fight to the general fans imo.

151 here people thought Maidana won I scored it 115-113 Floyd or possibly a draw. Maidana swept the first 4 possibly 5 rounds Floyd won the rest but not out of the realms of possibility to give Maidana the last or having him nicking a round 6 through to 11 though I personally didn't see it that way. Close but clear win for Mayweather and if they rematch Floyd will win clearer.

 

Firstly, I thought Floyd won it but Maidana did win the first four and maybe one of the later rounds, so it was close. Secondly, no way in hell a bloke like Floyd who has always done what is best for himself, which has always been to 'stay pretty', hit and not get hit etc. decided to get hit and put on a show for the fans. Give Maidana some credit for taking it to Floyd and doing what not many other have done in forcing a close fight.

I do however feel as though we are seeing the decline of Mayweather, hes definitely lost a step.

She was a close fight all right but 7-5 mayweather seems correct ,even could live with the draw . Came as a bit of a shock that the first bloke in ages who went out there and set a suicidal attacking pace could make Floyd look so bad on the ropes , and he did look old in the first 5 rounds.

i think mayweather looked flat, maybe trained to hard coz he knew it was guna be a tough fight,
which it was i had mayweather winning 7-5.
i dont think there needs to be a rematch because next fight floyd will actually box and make maidana look silly, like he did canelo.
but if he wants to duck pac man its his best option.

Pretty much what I said in post #3. If they rematch Floyd will probably win clearer now that he knows Maidana will try to ambush him from the opening bell.

I know a lot more about fighters than you. Floyd-Canelo did 2.2 million PPV buys and you think he chose to fight Maidana differently to increase his PPV buys pmsl,lol,rofl. I don't think Maidana won the fight but a lot of people do it was a close fight. I don't know why you think it's so strange that some people think Maidana won.
