Great video. Hakeem was such an honorable champion. You realize as the generations go by what a true gentleman he was.

I would think Khan wants to spend the time with his family in the UK so he wouldn't be able to train with Hinter unless Hunter up sticks for 30 odd days.
Thing is if Hunter does come over to the UK & he trains at night he'd be training at the same time the fight is going to take place in the US, the problem might be with getting sparring partners in etc as Ramadan ends late August.

Just to clarify Ramadan ends in July this year. Sunrise to sunset in the uk is long due to summer hours. Training is probably out of the question during this time.

I think khan was banking on fighting Floyd in May. Obviously didn't happen so he had two options. Wait another few months and get even more ring rusty and less relevant to try and get Floyd or fight on huge undercard of a mega event and increase his stock.
I believe he chose the right option and looked good at 147, also gave him experience and helped implement what Virgil is teaching him. I think he fights Floyd some time next year and will probably fight somebody else late this year.

I'd like to see him avenge a loss: Peterson and Garcia to me would be great options. Not sure if they'd want to take on Khan in their first fight at 147. Maybe they would.

If Brook pulls off the porter upset, which no one is giving him a chance. But I honestly think he's a tougher fight than people think. I think he's definitely tougher than malignaggi and can probably box just as good if not better than julio diaz, who drew with porter. Brook-Khan would be massive.

The ONLY time he will be able to fight Mayweather is in May. Floyd is not going to modify his May/September fight schedule for Khan. There are 3 Showtime fights left on the deal so we are looking at:

    September 2014
    May 2015
    September 2015

    Khan has one shot left........

I don't think he takes the brook fight just yet. That's most likely gonna happen when he's ready to cash out.. Late 2015 maybe? Unless brook fights porter and beats him (unlikely IMO)

Khan is not religious at all, so all this about fasting is BS...well maybe for a month he wants to be 'religious'. Then can go back to snorting coke, flashing money at clubs and sleeping with hookers.

I think it's pretty simple. Mayweather-Maidana 2 on September 13, with a good strong undercard along with the proper selling and promoting of the rematch, and Amir Khan simply headlines his own card against a good opponent in December. Possibly a rematch against Lamont Peterson. A good strong impressive showing and victory by Khan over Peterson in a December rematch following a more than likely more impressive showing/repeat victory for Mayweather over Maidana in September would make a May 2, 2015 showdown between Mayweather-Khan, whether in the U.K. or at the M.G.M. in Las Vegas, that much bigger!

Because he needs to fight at some point and it puts him in the public eye for a Mayweather fight, and I would totally rule him out for Sept.

Ramadan ends late July I believe.
