Has anyone had a close look at theese things by Everlast ?? having zoomed in there an absolute joke and border on bare knuckle fighting , virtually zero padding at the knuckle and baggy creased leather , From what ive heard and discussed with a few folk theese gloves have been a topic of controversey for a while now , Obviously Mayweather has massive clout and can call the shots but from what ive discussed the MX Glove was questioned by both Frochs camp in the Bute fight and Ricky Burns Camp in the Crawford fight but overiled by the bbboc due to them being weaker than mayweather and merley going on the fact a similar model was on the approved list of gloves
the mexican everlast and the cleto reyes are almost identicle, i don't get what the fuss is. its an 8 ounce punchers glove, the padding is kept to a minimum because if your a puncher thats how you want it.
mate instead of a few sentences in multiple posts, why dont you make one post with a few sentences? Reading about 20 posts in a row from the same person is very tedious.
I'm about 100% sure that the glove manufacturers pay the fighter/promoter extra money to have these 'glove controversy' things, every big fight. It's just an advertisement.
they did look a bit soft in the knuckle area ? it happens tho .... sometimes a **** up in the factory ? I bought a pair of Lonsdale fight gloves 10z years ago .....the left gloves padding was distributed evenly but the right glove the padding was flimsy around the knuckle but thick around everywhere else ? I tried to break them in gradually but didn't work .....was faulty I had to cut it open stretch the padding out then stitch them up ! it happens maybe just a fault ?
