Has khan actually learnt any new defensive skills?

I can't relax watching a khan fight. Too many times he's looked awesome, then takes a good shot and he's all over the gaff. I suppose that's a lot of the attraction.

Hopefully Khan sees the benefits of what Virgil teaches and especially spending time with him in the gym even when not in a training camp.

I thought the years lay off showed from rounds 7-8 onwards - he looked pretty tired and I was worried Collazo was really gonna put it on him.

One thing annoys me about khan, he oftens attacks with combos of straights but he kinda runs forward while doing it. Hard to explain, but looks a little clumsy, and could leave himself off balance and open to counters.

Still, overall a great performance, look forward to the next one.

khan is the kind of fighter u would never take a bathroom break during the action cuz u never know what will happen.

but he still seems a little vunerable when the opponent comes right at him and throws many shots like in round 8. overall looked good though, he still has room to learn. i think he is learning slowly. he vastly improved this fight. main questions will be awnsered when he fights a big puncher next time.

I thought he looked better defensively I aint saying he was perfect or even comfortable at times. But he was throwing his shots and not sticking in the same place hence eliminating the chance for a big shot tbh.

Still can't fight going backwards, agree with the op tbh and I said Collazo was a faded version who I expected Khan to beat before I get accused of being 'full of ****'

Having watched it properly now there was some improvement but he still has a lot of flaws

He was patient didn't run around the ring as much
when he got wobbled he got his defences together

But his combos are still really predictable and when he really lets his hands go his balance seems to go out the window. Did anyone see him head butt the corner post?
too much holding and pushing down of the head and even now if he's unsure he stand bolt upright with his guard up. He's going to take more point deductions if this continues. (the pushing I mean)

Still his speed looks OK and put the usually tuff Collazo down a few times. There were some small improvements he managed to avoid some of Collazo shots a few times but Collazo was really poor he didn't respect Khan and paid for it. If he had tried to box is way to the inside and throw accurate shots like he did against Ortiz we could be talking about the end of Khans career.

Another fight of similar calibre and we might be able to say khan is back on the world scene as a legit threat
