Gavin Rees is calling it a day after the rematch with Gary Buckland. The man has a had a great career winning a world title at lww and challenging Adrien Broner for the lw world title last year. The guy is never in a boring fight as the last two with Crolla and Buckland have proved and there could be a case made for him winning both. It seemed to me however the Broner fight took alot out of him as he seemed to go very downhill after that. His peformance againts Derry Matthews back in 2012 was simply devestating.

He is exciting and had a good career, though I think he would have been better staying with Enzo Calzaghe. It is the right decision and I had him beating Buckland the first time though it was close (he must have been thinking afterwards, a few years ago I would have knocked Buckland out within 6 rounds and now there is nothing really between us), so that's why I think he is making the right decision.
I agree look what he done to Derry Matthews two years ago. To be honest a peak Buckland would of killed Crolla
he won everything world/european/ british/ prizefighter the Calzaghe gym was the best gym line up to come out of the UK for a long time Calzaghe/ Maccirinelli/Rees/Cleverly/Pryce/Lockett, etc
