I wouldn't believe Euwank if he told me the sky was blue and the grass was green.

What are the origins of your ‘The Gorilla’ nickname?

JR: Around the age of 17, 18, I used to spar a lot of (Team GB coach) Robert McCracken’s boys when he was working with Mick Hennessy. Rob said I had the strength of a baby gorilla and it just stuck. Everybody used to call it me tongue in cheek and now I can’t get rid of it!

Id like to see rematch to esp as BJS said he would retire if he list to a domestic level fighter cause he would be wasting his time.

Same here. I think he could of beat BJS if he just let his hands go more.

Made BJS look very unimpressive imo.

Ryder is open for that uppercut, Eubank JR would probably beat him.

Phew, that's a relief. Gorillas famously eat their own excrement so I'm glad we can put that one to bed.

I've followed John's career since seeing his pro debut live at a Hennessy show. Good luck to him for the future.

Yeah it was frustrating because I honestly believe he would of stopped bjs if he went in more confident. Must be even worse for him though knowing he didn't leave everything he had in the ring. Unfortunately I don't think he will get a rematch, I know bjs said he would only vacate once he won it outright but I think he wouldn't want to fave John again. As I said before I'm not a bjs hater either I think he's a good boxer, but the scare he had last time will make if not him his team atleast wary of the gorilla. As for john vs eubank it's hard to say. I'm still not sure how good eubank is, I've got a feeling when he steps up he will be a good fighter. The problem he's got is people's dislike of him colours their judgement of him as a boxer.

I've only seen a few of his fights but I like the look of him. He's talented and something about his style appeals to me.

    first of all.....

1:Rob Mckracken gave john the name gorilla.

2:Eubank Jr did not school Ryder in sparring. far from it. in fact the day they sparred, Eddie Hearn was present in the gym with a view to look at signing Eubank. He left the Gym having signed Ryder, so what does that tell you about the sparring session???

3: John Ryder is a future world champion in my opinion, and would stand Eubank on his head
