Ward can't beat Bute, much less Stevenson, KOvalev, GGG, BUT he oculd probably outhug Roidnard to a boring decision.:lol::lol:

Clinical? Mdec. You forget Dawson had never beaten a top prime good LHW and was drained down to SMW

You guys must have a hard-on for GGG. You find ways to interject him into every thread. This is a Ward thread, moron. Go find a GGG thread.

Ward has had promoter issues. He's still one of the best around, despite his inactivity due to promoter battles. If he had his way, he'd be much more active.

Anyone who rates Ward at p4p#2 is severely brainwashed.

Groves would shatter that glass all over Oakland

Ward fights once a year.... ranking him #2 in the p4p is nuts.

An ok win, not a good one. What was your scorecard?

Had it 7-5 for Ward. Was surprised to see Bika score meaningful right hands late in the fight.

    Official scorecards were atrocious.

Taking nothing away from Ward's performance, but Froch didn't look right during their bout. He didn't look like the same fighter that subsequently fought outside the U.S. and look so dominating. Does anyone know if he had the flu, dehydrated, or some other problem ??? I always wondered about that fight, and hoped Ward would someday fight him in the UK.

It is more likely that Yeti shows up at the Trafalgar square than Ward to fight in the UK.

Andre Ward says, "My promotor isn't getting me any fights."

Andre, how the hell is your promotor supposed to get you fights when he's busy fighting your lawsuit?

Son of God is really the #1 P4P imo. The same idiots that think Stevenson would beat him thought Dawson would. :patsch
Son of God fights on his own terms just like Mayweather, deal with it.

How many other young fast fighters could do the same to hopkins though ? let us remember hopkins has also carefully chosen his opponents since calzaghe they are normally getting on a bit themselves or are slow with average or bad stamina workrate.

And Chad Dawson has always been inconsistent, sometimes the unbeatable looking version shows up sometimes the vulverable underperforming one does.

Wards competition isn't and hasn't been as deep and great as people like to claim though, an ageing froch and kessler wins are pretty much the only thing to write home about.

I have the pacman at #2

    Mayweather
    Pacman
    Bradley
    Wlad
    Ward

If Glass Jawson is your attempt at humour then just give up the now, leave the laptop and just give up because that is awful.

Ward's #2 ranking was based on his victories from any years ago and potential. We know he has potential, but he's not showing it in the ring.

Dawson was drained badly and he had no legs in the fight. It was evident from the 1st round on.

His win over Froch was good, but that was so long ago. His win over Kessler was just dirty, headbutting and clinching. Again, those are good wins, but not enough to put him at #2 in the modern landscape.

Bradley has been doing more than Ward in the last few years. So has Rigo when he beat Donaire. Ward has refused to fight Stevenson & Kovalev and has been inactive for too long. It seems like he just wants to stay at 168, when he fought at light heavy in the amateurs.

I don't have him in my top 5.

I have doubts that he'll fight again this year. It's really a shame.
