WTF maybe everyone has too high hopes for AJ we don't see what goes on in the gym etc but this has to be a step back.

Is Matt Legg really the best boxer Matchroom could find to showcase Joshua on one of the biggest crowds he will ever fight in front of ?

    Very disappointed.

    Real 50/50 fight this.

Great to see eddie letting joshua off the leash this early.

Some of you are saying it should have been Sprott or Audley but I think it's too soon for those guys but this guy who he's fighting is a joke, he'll get no benefit from it and neither do we paying for this ****. I think it should have been Danny Hughes who Hughie Fury just beat, 12W-3KO 3L-0KO. His only losses have been against Sprott, Harrison and H.Fury and he went the distance with all 3. It would have been a decent fight for Joshua at this stage of his career and wouldn't be a 1 round destruction of a guy who doesn't deserve to be in the ring with him.

Shocking fight, am gutted as I will be there. Thought Richard Towers, Michael Sprott, Martin Rogan or Matt Skelton would have been a good fight. I know he needs to move up gradually but surely none of the names I mentioned would have been too much of a step up. What is he going to learn fighting a guy ranked 30th in Britain?

Good fight. There's no rush with Joshua. He's needs to fight at this level for another few years yet before we try and move him up against fringe British level, ie Matt Skelton and John McDermott.

Legg should come to fight but clearly we aren't going to learn much if Joshua knocks him out early.

Difficult to see who gives Joshua rounds at this stage- is Hearn not prepared to pay a Skelton/Hughes at this stage?

Take your point. Sprott and Rogan are fighting in New Zealand on the 4th of June though so aren't available. Not sure re the other two and what they're up to.

needs to be in with somebody who atleast as a reputation for giving rounds now and if he blows them away fair enough, this cant be described as a learning fight.

And Joshua is an Olympic gold medallist, world silver medallist. Huge difference in size. Its a horrible mismatch, and if Legg gets hurt,it will be who'd have thought it.

People need to remember it's his 6th pro fight but then again, Hearn hyped it up saying he will try and get a good opponent for him.

Joshua will knock him out in less than a minute.

When Joshua sparks him in a round, all the lads I watch boxing with won't even question his CV or how good he is - they'll all start wanking each other off about the fact Joshua is a beast. Casuals don't give a **** about names or CVs.
