Why did the Klitschos duck James Toney?

They didn't want to deal with a manslaughter charge....

 

Sure and that's why klitschko opponents make more than mayweathers. Solis against vitali made 1.8 mil, leapai against wlad made 1.5 mil, most of their opponents make around this much or more.

James "Belly's Out" Toney lost to Sam Peter back in 2007, and recently lost to Jason Gavern.

He'd take a terrible beating from Wladimir Klitschko. No one in his right mind would want that fight.

The Klits may have beaten Toney at HW, but Toney is the better fighter P4P.

 

Look at Toney's resume at Heavyweight. It is awful. He fought Peter twice and lost who both Klitschko's beat. Struggled with Rahman. Had to cheat to beat Ruiz who was awful. His Heavyweight wins are guys like Booker, Guinn, Batchelder, Oquendo (which he was gifted), Greer, Reed, and Gunn. Who the hell are those guys? They are nobodies. His best win is ancient Holyfield.

James didn't win one meaningful fight but the Klitschko's were ducking him? :roflatsch

I would like to see James vs Prime 2003/2004 Vitali Klitschko. He would get destroyed.

 

Yet they were too scared to float him any real offers...

 

you can't float him a real offer when he has a resume like that. it is awful.

 

Chris Byrd would of handled Toney with ease.

 

They heard he was hungry for a title belt, and after the way he put down the entire Burger King menu, they figured he would eat their belts before the fight could even begin. How would they be able to carry on as self-respecting champions with half eaten belts?
