Good underrated fight, Reid was doing well untill he started getting too ****y then he got caught by a Tito left hook that not not only knocked him down it started the end of his career. Tito was a bad dude.
Great fight from a great fighter. So many of Tito's fights provided so many elements of what we like in boxing, from ebb and flow, to KD's, fighting through adversity, seek and destroy, great boxing, KO's etc. More often than not, you got everything out of a Tito fight, a great fans fighter.
David Reid was a total hype job...and had that eye problem that always plagued him. I don't give Trinidad a whole lot of credit for beating Reid. Beating Vargas was impressive... I'm not going to call Trinidad a cheater, but after Richardson caught him before the Hopkins fight, it makes me wonder how many fights and how many years was he using illegal wraps.
And it wasn't even about the wraps but how they were being wrapped. I don't remember Tito getting any suspensions or fines
