What's the deal with Deontay Wilder?

hes unproven and an amateur at best in the sport. only has been fighting for like 7 years

 

He's a entertainer and I respect him, even wish him a good career. I respect him because he starts boxing because of his daughter, who's ill. A father, stepping into the ring, to make much money for her. Not this RJJ, Holyfield, Tyson bull****, who will never pay off their debts because two cars were not enough .. he's a real family man.

Unfortunately, he has one of the worst chins in boxing history, maybe worse than Andrzej Wawrzyk, who's right now undisputed no.1 in the glass jaw P4P rankings. Wilder's only advantage is his reach, height and punching power. He has no idea how to box, I think I could beat him if I step up into HW. YOu need to make pressure, like Arreola with Mitchell. But if Wilder makes pressure too and lands first through luck, he will win.

I think his aim is a fight against Wlad, for the payday. A fight against Wlad can bring him more money than he would ever earn with work his whole life. Since he's not wasting the money like others, he fullfilled his aims.

After 2015 we will never hear from him again.

 

I used to be a believer when it came to Deontay Wilder.

But then he went ahead and beat that woman up in 2013 "The woman had swollen eyebrows, a possible broken nose, a cut lip and red marks on her neck.". And then he gave ******boy Charlie Zelenoff a streetbeating with gloves on and all of this while never participating in any of the big fights that he could have signed up for.

Deontay Wilder is a fake and a ******..... and if you're reading this Deontay.... I'd be more than happy to have a Zelenoff type of encounter with you so don't be shy now.

He's awkward and he's the hardest HW puncher since Wlad. Stylistically, I give him a better chance than anyone else vs. Wlad but he probably gets wrecked.

He's good though. Will be top 25 for a while.

Edit: If it was an option, I'd pick "Better than boxing fans give him credit for but probably will never be a long-reigning holder of any belt that really matters"

 

I lost any respect for Wilder when he started ducking opponents calling him out.

Charr tried to arrange a fight with Wilder. Wilder ducked him.
Chisora has called Wilder out three times. Wilder ducked him three times, even faking visa issues to avoid him.
Fury has called Wilder out. Wilder ignored him.
Price's team were trying to organise a fight with Wilder before the fight against Thompson. Surprise, surprise, Wilder ducked him.
Tony Thompson tried to arrange a fight with Wilder shortly after he beat Price. Wilder ducked him.

Yet then, Wilder has the audacity to claim everyone in the heavyweight division is scared of him? Even after he's ducked such a long list of opponents. He's a coward. The Chisora duck was BLATANT since a week after the fight was supposed to take place, he was over here sparring Haye.
