Groves on ESPN/Fitzpatrick in 'Jab' Magazine

People looking way too deep into these interviews and mind games etc.... All fighters and trainers talk a lot, just look a roger mayweather for example or even Freddie roache. It's part of the game. I hate it when boxers verbally suck each other off...

 

For what it is worth I completely agree with the original poster. I have heard a couple f detailed Paddy Fitzpatrick interviews and he comes across as a trainer/philosopher/faith healer. He was pretty much all about the mind games and saying stuff like they employed physiologists to look at the footage and they have come back and said that round 6 was a mental issue for Carl (if anyone remembers that is the round Carl went back to the corner and said 'f*ck me'). I mean these people are actually paying people to investigate Froch's state of mind. Never mind it is likely Froch was heavily concussed after the first round knockdown.

I am pretty confident Groves night back to his own corner after a few rounds and realise things are not panning out the way he thought they might.

 

I always found Groves really annoying. I know a lot of it is just bravado and trying to sell the fight but before the first fight he hadn't even fought at European level and he was coming out with all kinds of ****. Froch is arrogant too but it's hard to find a world champ in boxing who isn't.

I find it all a bit silly either way. I just wanna see the best fights.

 

The facts of the the first fight.
Round 1 Groves beats Froch to the punch,and drops him.
Round 2 Froch fights his usual way gets hit by some good punches, but shows no effects from the 1st round knock down.
Rounds 3,4,5, Groves beats Froch to the punch constantly,Froch does have some success,
Round 6 Groves has the better success,at the end of the round Carl says Fu------------t as he returns to his corner. That is the time Froch mentally went into, I've been hit Fu -- it ,I'm going to win, no matter what,and rounds 7,8,and 9 proved it to me,that the rant from Froch after round 6 had the mental effect to do much better in the upcoming rounds, and not the Crap what Groves and his team recon....
Fact Froch has a W on his record against Groves,

 

If you think Groves won round 5 then you are certifiably insane.

Rewatch the round, Groves tees off on Froch and Froch is repeatedly stunned. Froch returns to the corner and says F**k ME, because he had taken a massive beating and was feeling the affect of the punches.
