@like a boss - I noticed that too? Heres the write up/booking for the fight: http://www.ducoevents.co.nz/hydr8-zero-heavyweight-explosion/ Undercard has Robbie "The butcher" Berridge on it. For any of you that haven't seen him fight, i highly recommend tuning into his fight. The kid is a warrior with heavy hands. In his last 2 fights he left Dan McKinnion in an induced coma and an action packed fight with Kerry Foley, which ended by TKO with Foley quitting from a broken hand and suspected cracked ribs.
No word yet. From what i saw online the other day from the Duco guys, they are trying to line him up with a world title fighter. Berridge pulled out from the fight with Adrian Taihia last week. I dont hold that against him though. It was a lose lose situation for Berridge, the only one getting anything out of that fight was Taihia...& he is a scumbag so he is hardly deserving of the shot. This is what i found from last weeks reports: "There is speculation that light-heavyweight Berridge could have boxed through the pain barrier and has withdrawn as he is about to be offered a world title fight by the WBO. Berridge, nicknamed the "Butcher" and ranked No10 on that organisation's pecking order, is said to be close to a fight against Sergey Kovalev, the WBO's No1-ranked fighter. Kovalev, a 31-year-old Russian with a 24-win, one-draw and no-loss record, is said to be a fighter of the highest quality." Kovalev? This would be a very very tough fight for Berridge. If he was to get the fight, i see a feat too large. However, the fight would get his name on the board internationally.
