S.exy said yesterday: "'Cotto accepted this year's fight because of my injuries. Before my deffense against Murray I tried to fight him and he said NO. But this way is better, he bit the bait, he stepped on the stick and did this fight with me". This was Cotto after S.exy fought JC. So you got Serg somewhere between 0 and 100% effective?? Nice, lol, I wish the bookies would allow me to make bets that way.
I seriously doubt Cotto makes it to the 10th let alone Win, because he swells+bleed too damn easy and even a banged up Martinez beats the Brakes off him.
I respect most of your opinion, and yeah, I respect this one, but if Martinez loses to Cotto, he can't be considered shot overnight. Or damaged goods overnight. I don't like the double standards applied to older fighters. Either they're cherry pickers hanging on below the elite level, or if they get beat, it was by the better fighter on the night. Can't call him elite for beating Murray and turn around and say he was shot b/c Cotto beat him.:think
Exactly, people making disclaimers like it's ok. Imagine if that were ok for the bookies..."We're sorry to inform you but when you made the bet on Cotto to win we thought Sergio was completely shot and so are unable to pay you on your Cotto pick" ...or vice versa with Serg not being shot. We know Serg won't be any less than50-60% or over 100%, so don't people choose a couple of numbers in between there and average them out?? I got 70-90 for a 80% Serg, he sounds really confident and is running(not easy to do on an injured knee) and I wouldn't doubt he's at 90% but 80% is the number I got for a Cotto win.

:good IMO, Cotto was at about 90% when he lost to Mayweather. But he looked shot when he fought Trout. When he came back vs Rodriguez, he looked like the beast he was when he was a WW. There's no telling......styles make fights and levels of competition matter greatly when deciding who shot and who's prime.
I would deny access to any Cotto relative as Miguel is gonna dive in courageously and trap Sergio on the ropes to work to the sides and then to the head but is so wide and low of shoulders that he's already set for Maravilla to up up in the middle and get outa there as TIIIMBEEER will fall thru the ropes.
Cotto was hurt by Floyd w 10oz. Martinez got up from a Chavez knockdown. Roach trains his fighters to engage. Martinez has stopped legit MW. There is only one logical outcome here folks
