I have got a big BBQ on Saturday and because it will be a house of casuals I have decided save on the £17 and opt for the radio in the background. The big fight wont be on until 11.00pm and others wont have much interest in the undercard apart from AJ and that fight will last less than 3 minutes.

Therefore radio in the background from 9 I will be up to date without boring the guests

Anyone else working round the boxing on Saturday

On Klitchko v Haye it was my son's Holy Communion Party. All the blokes vanished to watch the PPV at the time of the ring walk. The ladies were not impressed

Thanks, I'll be watching it on a home theatre setup so it'll be a shame not to get the best quality sound but if it's that or Jim Watt I'll rig something up :)

PPV for me, radio just doesn't really give you an insight, i remember listening to Harry Carpenter commentating on Bruno/Tyson 1, i thought Bruno was battering Tyson until i saw the fight the following day.

Costello will embarrass himself again no doubt. Was a joke last time out. Expected him to try and propose to Froch.

Radio commentators are considerably more articulate than their television counterparts. They have to be.

Quirky Ronald Macintosh is usually onboard with Costello. A great team, far more entertaining than the other lot if you ask me.
