A lot of people think he's already top ten p4p. I've yet to be convinced. Like most I had him losing to Herrera. Even if there is an argument that Garcia won that fight it was not a performance becoming of a lineal champion. His TKO 4 victory over Khan looks brilliant on paper but he was being decisively outboxed in that fight before he caught Khan with one on his china chin. I would not be confident of Garcia winning a rematch. Good wins over Judah and Morales but they came when both were past their primes. Good boxer but he's not shown the potential some see in him. Some say he's ready to step up and face the big four at 147 (Mayweather, Pacquiao, Bradley, Marquez). I'm not even convinced Garcia is the man at 140. I think Floyd would toy around with him, Pac would carve his face up, and I'd expect Bradley and Marquez to both outpoint him.
Khan, Lucas, Morales and Judah make up a pretty good resume for a 26 year old champ. Everytime he's overlooked or counted out, he shows up and beats the odds. He's doing his job. He might have underestimated Herrera, and that happens. But he has the rest of his career and you'd be hard pressed to find another 26 year old in boxing with his resume.
Good fighter. But Khan was beating his ass worse than Adonis probably beat his hoes prior to the left hook.
What? No one thought he had a hope of beating Khan or Lucas. If anything he was underrated. Very few rate him highly. He is a top guy at 140 unquestionably.
He is the top light welterweight right now,,, how is that overrating? Soon he will be exposed that that doesn't erase the achievements he made during his career...
