According to Groves, Froch has been dropped a few times in sparring this camp. With Eubank being chief sparring partner, who believes this could be true?
It's common knowledge that Anthony Fowler mentioned Eubank Jr dropping Froch in the 2nd round, and Froch coming strong later on.
Whats it matter? Fight night isnt sparring maybe mind games from frochs camp to give groves false sence of security that him punch resistance is going to make groves pile on the pressure early? The fact of the matter is groves hit froch with one of the best right hands hes ever thrown which landed perfectly and froch was up at count of 2 and 20 seconds later looked fully recovered he then hit him with many more peaches of rights which bounced off froch with very little effect
Looking at the sparring on Behind The Ropes 2 Eubank was catching Froch easily with big rights so it wouldn`t surprise me. That said sparring doesn`t mean sh*t,it does show however that a fast fighter will catch Froch with right hands if he is fast enough and we all know George is fast enough as he has already proven.
Froch has notoriously admitted that he doesn't spar great, but when it comes to being under the lights he performs much better
It matters when your making the same mistakes that got you heavily dropped in the first fight! Do remember groves won't be any slower Carl may
If that is the case then it is obvious that Froch hasn`t learnt anything from the first fight and that he is full of sh*t.However he didn`t have to include that footage of sparring and may have staged it to encourage Groves.
