Boxing4life, i'm not sure why pros don't do it. Now dont quote me on this or anything but it shouldn't make your nose break easier. All that happens is they burn the vein that your bleeding from. I just suggested it because two people I know and have boxed with and sparred have had it done. One of them used to bleed ALOT, he got it cauterized and he still bleeds just not nearly as bad or as easily.

Hey most nose bleeds that start from a not to hard of a shot to
the nose are from the nostrals being dried out from the air around
where you are living or working and I found that the best cure for
this is vasaline in the nostrals at night before bed and again in the
morning just a smear in each nostral, for a week or so and it should
    fix it up, :thumbsup

i suffer nose bleeds too, even just sitting watching tv it goes off.
i searched round a good bit on google and here it is.
never pick your nose with your finger.it breaks the membranes down weakens the inner lining/wall of your nose.best thing to do is line it with vaseline.the "greeners" nearly slide out on their own.
secondly, you can buy hydrochloric acid at any chemists (its a womans hair dye).get 4 parts water to 1 part hcl(acid)and immerse your nose in it twice a day for 5 mins each.it actually toughens the inner lining and stops it bleeding.sorry ive no link to back this up-i googled it a long time ago and cant remember the actual site its off.

    So do I.

Look for the 5'10, 155 lb. Asian guy who always wears black shorts and black shoes, white socks, and black ankle braces. I usually train with Paris.

Did you go to the smoker last Fri?

What's up man, I train with Paris to. I'm the tallest guy training with him...names Raj. I didn't go to the smoker because the fights were all bootcamp guys. There's a real smoker next Wed at Fanatics in the city.

The other Eric, the HW (my name's also Eric) is fighting in that, right? He was supposed to fight last Friday, but they scraped his at the last minute.

Cool, introduce yourself next time. I'll be there Thursday and Friday. Yeah, Eric told me about last week. That was lame scraping the fight at the last minute. He would have tore him up anyhow. The real fight will be next week for him. I'm going to be out of town on business so I'm going to miss it. I hope he kicks a$$ for the gym.

Vaseline does keep the nose from drying out but I read that it is bad for your lungs to inhale vaseline so shouldn't be put up your nose.
If dry air is bad does this mean that a sauna would make your nose more prone to bleeding and a steam room would help?
