Mayweather hasn't lost Showtime one red cent

This **** is funny as hell. People throwing around PPV buy counts to justify whether or not Mayweather is making Showtime money without knowing half of the other variables needed to answer that.

Forget the actual bottom line figure that Mayweather was actually paid in cash and incentives.
Forget the actual costs to put on each PPV event.
Forget the venue profits and expenses.
Forget that every PPV has different costs based on the opponent, venue, and market.
Forget the actual amount showtime receives from PPV revenues when all the middle men are paid.
Forget the added subscriptions to Showtime Mayweather may bring to the regular network based on his fight lead up shows, interviews, guest commentary, etc.

Unless you have access to the networks books, it's pointless to speculate **** like this.

40 mil...plus 10-15 mil in step aside money to arum....its probably close to 60-40 in reality....closer than one might think.....putting all the numbers together and speculating on the revenue is tough...not concrete....but if you look at it its prob close to that....

like i said...at the least manny could have said "lets talk about it....maybe if it meets certain revenue goals you will kick me more"....but he did nothing but hang up

look at floyd canelo....**** did 2.4 mil...did some great numbers.....floyd walked away with like 70-80 mil and canelo about 10 mil.....and thats with floyd getting the lions share.......not to mention part of floyds take comes from merchandise and concessions too......so in hindsight kicking 50-55 mil to mannys side is a good chunk....and pac could have asked for more depending on certain revenue goals

again...look at how money was divided for floyd/canelo.....part of the expected revenue was built into floyds offer....he was handing over 50-55 mil to pacs side which isnt chump change.....some of the ppv revenue was already factored into that.......

if floyd said heres 50-55 mil to you manny....then he has to pay arum out of it.....its really the same....50-55 mil was the real number offered which has ppv revenue built in it....pac could have said "if we do bigger numbers you kick me certain amount/percentage"....but pac didnt even entertain the idea

 

your numbers are not right cable and Satellite get 50% of PPV proceeds so the number isn't 64 mil it is 32 mil...factor in expenses for all 3 fights and other stuff so who knows what is left? We know it isn't 64 mil like you said though :roflatsch

Nevada records don't really mean anything. It's just the salary for a particular fight, doesn't include PPV's or anything along those lines. I think Dana White said it doesn't even include fight of the night bonuses. In any event it's a useless number to try justifying any argument related to what fighters actually make, if they're in the upper echelon of the sport.

Math is a powerful thing if you know some. De La Hoya v. Floyd did 2.5 million buys and Oscar got a 53 million dollar guarantee. Now in 3 fights Floyd has been guaranteed 105 million and only sold 900k more buys than Oscar did in one fight and got DOUBLE the money Oscar got for one fight. Showtime lost cake.
