Im saying OSCAR is the one who lost or got a gift decision every time he fought top guys Chavez - past prime doesnt count Camacho - padded record fighter. solid but not great or top level Trinidad - lone exception, but Oscar literally ran for 3 rounds Mosley - lost twice Pernell - clear robbery. Punching air the whole fight Floyd - gifted one scorecard by a judge but fortunately two competent judges were watching Hopkins - KO Pacquiao - TKO Sturm - robbery
Wouldn't say "he should have won" against Murray! He didn't want anything to do with a 2nd fight with Martin!
He had one of if not the best jab of his era. To this day, he still possesses one of the best jabs in boxing. He has few top notch victories but a ton of good supporting ones. He is/was probably the second best MW of the post-Hopkins MW era (behind Sergio)...
He is a good fighter, but would be a lot more notable if it was not for the whole Golovkin megaduck episode. Flagrantly ducking your mandatory and/or what most critics and scribes would call your toughest fight has a negative effect on your legacy. He also would have had a much better shot of beating GGG at that time then he would now.
I just cant blame him for not leaving Germany after what had happened vs Oscar, he was blatantly robbed, no other word for that decision!!!
I see a lot of people hate him but he was much better fighter than Peter Qullin will ever be, he would beat him even now!
What you must remember Shanahan is that threads about Felix draw nut-jobs the way **** draws flies. Felix is a great fighter, a great champion, a great human being, very under-rated, particularly by US fans..
he's a very good fighter with a respectable resume. i don't think he's got enough time left to fight the best out there and beat them to prove himself to be any better than very good.
he didn't clearly beat him. i had it by one point to Murray so i don't call it a robbery, but Murray still should have got the nod.
